About our Company

Plastic Design & Manufacturing (PDM) was started in 1998 to develop turn-key manufacturing programs and outdoor products for the camping, FEMA, and military markets. The growth of the company and its close ties to familial business, Venture Plastics Inc. of Newton Falls, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, lead to the development of a factory direct, off-shore and domestic sourcing program for plastic parts / tooling, metal inserts, and product assemblies.

With solid manufacturing principles, off-shore and domestic sourcing, along with strong, customer oriented management, our company operates out of a new custom built factory in Manhattan, Montana for plastic molding, tooling trials, assembly, as well as research and development into numerous plastic related engineering, recycling, and bio-based materials programs.

Our management personnel have over 40 years of successful experience working in the injection molding field. From part design, material specification, tooling and lean operations our group has it covered. We have strategic alliances with material suppliers, product design firms, Montana Manufacturing Extension Center of Montana State University, and our network of suppliers / sub-contractors that allow us to effectively service customers in the home appliance, hardware, outdoor / recreational and communications markets.
